Yu Wang is an Associate Professor in Global Energy Policy. Her research interest lies in energy transition, distributed energy resources (DERs), energy modeling, and energy security. She conducts policy analysis by modeling future energy supply and demand using a computable general equilibrium model, NEMS. Her work assesses the economic viability of clean energy technologies, forecast future deployment of the technologies, and estimate impacts on GHG emissions. Her research also utilizes social science methods, such as survey and expert interview, to evaluate customer acceptance of emerging technologies, public support for alternative energy, and market barriers and policy solutions. She is the PI of several research projects studying demand response and sustainable bio renewable resources.”
