Dr. Guimin Zheng’s research lies in the intersections of sustainability, smart city technologies, and public policy theories. Her primary research area investigates how environmental and energy policies improve clean energy transition, which underscores the importance of inter-governmental collaboration and citizen coproduction to implement these policies effectively. An emerging stream of her research examines how governments can use smart city technologies, such as social media and artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance civic engagement and public service delivery. She teaches policy and program evaluation, social science methods, and environmental politics. Guimin received her Ph.D. in public administration from Florida State University in 2024.
